  • Japan v Colombia - Strange refereeing!

Just took second viewing of this match.

The Colombians stomped all over the Japanese and the ref just about never gave Japan any of the calls. The Japanese players were kicked and tripped at will.

Do not think Colombia could be so fortunate in the next round
It would not be stretch to say, Colombia was given that game.

The kicks and trips were so frequent that surely cautions and expulsions should have come into play? ...and quite a few of those fouls were in pretty good 'free-kick' areas.

    Stats - http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/matches....html#nosticky

Additionally: Fouls not called - Tons!

They have been brilliant on attack...and porous on defense.
...so can only be judged with difficulty. The next round should be a step up in finishing by the TEAMs. Will they be so fortunate in having the TEAM they meet 'misfiyah' often?
