WHY SHOULD LIVERPOOL SELL LUIS SUAREZ?

Football - FA Premier League - Crystal Palace FC v Liverpool FC

IT’S hard to add to the debate on Luis Suarez, if for no other reason than Neil Atkinson boxed it off with a brilliant article the other day.

The only thing I’d add to Neil’s piece is that Liverpool should not sell Suarez. Why should they? If Real Madrid, for example, were to buy him, what would he do for them? Collect the bibs? No, he’d play for them. So why shouldn’t he play for us? Because we should be above all that? Because it’s not morally right to keep him? Ok. But I live in the real world where the point of football is to win. He’s clearly a little bit mental, but why shouldn’t he be our little mental player?

I’ve seen people say it’s time for Liverpool to turn their back on him. This couldn’t be further from the truth. It is without argument that Suarez has mental issues. But if these issues were to manifest themselves not in on-field violence, but in drug abuse or alcoholism would the club be encouraged to turn their back on him? Or to get him some help?

Is the ban FIFA have now imposed on him right? Is it fair? There’s no question that Suarez only has himself to blame. He bit a man. For the third time. He deserves little sympathy, and even the most ardent of his supporters would struggle to argue against the idea that a lengthy ban is both right and fair.

THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Even after this latest incident Liverpool will do everything they can to hold onto Luis Suarez
No other club will want to sign a player who is banned from the opening games of the season, and Liverpool know how valuable he is to them

The only good news for Liverpool following Luis Suárez’s latest severe penalty for biting an opponent is that the length of his suspension makes it impossible for him to leave Anfield this summer.
There is little else for anybody at the club to be happy about, though, because Suárez has undoubtedly taken himself back to square one by biting Giorgio Chiellini and undone all the good work he had achieved by rehabilitating himself last season following the Branislav Ivanovic incident.
Some may believe that Liverpool should sell him anyway due to the potential damage of being associated with the player, but football is not like that.
The reality is that more allowances are made for players when they are as talented as Suárez and, if there is a line that cannot be crossed, I really do not know where it is for world-class players of his ilk.

First of all the English FA banned him for the bite against ivanovic. They had not jurisdiction to ban him from international matches even if they wanted to. FIFA is the world governing body so they can ban hi. Fromayi g for anyone anywhere on planet earth. Thirdly this ban should be more stringent than the precious one because it is his THIRD offense people! Punishment should be upped.

The value of Suarez is realized only if he plays, his bouts with suspension have cost Liverpool, and will continue to.

Liverpool must fight tooth-and-nail to keep Luis Suárez at Anfield - just like Sir Alex Ferguson did with Eric Cantona
Brendan Rodgers needs only to look up the East Lancs Road for guidance over what Liverpool should do over the Uruguay striker

Risk assessment: Manchester United won the league and FA Cup Double the year after Eric Cantona returned from his suspension and Liverpool would do well to remember this before they make any decisions over Luis Suárez Photo: PA

When Eric Cantona made it abundantly clear that he wanted to leave Manchester United in the summer of 1995 after become so exasperated by the severity of his eight-month ban for a kung-fu kick on a Crystal Palace supporter, Sir Alex Ferguson resorted to riding pillion on a motorbike through Paris in a desperate attempt to persuade the Frenchman to reconsider.
The unusual tactic worked. Ferguson caught up with Cantona, who had disappeared through the Parisian streets, and the forward was talked into staying at Old Trafford for two more years.

I cannot understand this holier than thou position some take in football, 1st of all the beautifull game is a violent game, individuals get kicked every minute by intention or accidentally, its a game of unbridled passion compared to some as "better than sex".It involves billions across the board be it administrators or fans, its political thus corrupted and it does not discriminate in designating talent, he could be black, white, chinese, rich poor mentally stable and unstable.

To not expect individuals to take it to another level of violence is wishful thinking, and to not expect fans or clubs to defend their interest is assanine.

My question is , if Saurez was your club player, would you ship him out for free, 23 million dollars ?
