THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Well he has been axed. Shortest reign as a manager ... but he can brag he has a 100% winning record.
"Jamaica's future reflects its past, having attained only one per cent annual growth over 30 years whilst neighbours have grown at five per cent." (Article)

On maybe a somewhat similar note:

I worry about the free reign that gambling has in the EPL.

In fact, it's quite surprising that a lot more incidence of match fixing does not become public.

You can bet on almost anything in the UK. Most stadium have a bookie kiosk. You can make up any bet...walk into the bookie and buy the odds.

Darn it! I should have asked a family member in the UK to place a bet for me-- that Big Sam would not last 6 months....

There is some amount of entrapment. I think where these things occur the investigators must demonstrate that they have evidence to believe that he has engaged in this kind of activity otherwise it's open season on everyone.

If it was that he was minding his own business and these journalists just randomly choose a victims an entice someone who was not otherwise inclined to engage in this activity.

Big Sam has himself to blame clearly but the ethics of the press is questionable

That crossed my mind... as you say, what was the evidence, or what prompted them, to carry out a sting ? that question IMO needs to be answered. I haven't seen it addressed anywhere.

More ethical entrapment in english football.

Describing the manager who had 'more backhanders than Wimbledon', Pagliari called him a 'reformed rogue'and someone who 'used to need the money but he’s had so much now that all of a sudden he’s whiter than white'.
He told their undercover reporters: 'I felt like saying "[X], you've had more backhanders than Wimbledon, what are you talking about?" 'You know he’s a wheeler and dealer don’t you?... he gambles 20 grand a day, he needs to make money… he’ll be earning three or four million, he still wants 50 grand in cash.'
Allardyce spoke to Sky Sports News the morning after he lost his job as England boss

All I have to say about this Sam Allerdyce saga is that England dodge a bullet
Man would've taken England back to 60's ball, was the wrong choice as manager in the first place
