    ARSENAL
    BUDGET: £25 MILLION
Arsene Wenger has revealed he is happy with his attacking options following his side's 3-0 pre-season friendly win against Genclerbirligi of Austria. Robin van Persie scored a brace while Theo Walcott was also on the scoresheet. With Eduardo da Silva available once he is granted a work permit, Wenger said he does not need another striker despite reports linking him with moves for Nicolas Anelka and Obafemi Martins. INS: Lukasz Fabianski (Legia Warsaw - Undisclosed), Bacary Sagna (Auxerre - Undisclosed)
OUTS: Fabrice Muamba (Birmingham - Undisclosed), Mart Poom (Watford - Undisclosed), Arturo Lupoli (Fiorentina - Free), Jeremie Aliadiere (Middlesbrough - £2M), Thierry Henry (Barcelona £16.1M)
    ASTON VILLA
    BUDGET: £25 - 40 MILLION
Martin O'Neill has bolstered his attacking options with the arrival of West Ham striker Marlon Harewood, for an undisclosed fee. Harewood is Villa's second signing of the summer, joining former team-mate Nigel Reo-Coker at Villa Park. O'Neill has said more signings are on the way, but his priority remains a right-back following the departure of Aaron Hughes and Phil Bardsley. Arsenal's Justin Hoyte is the latest to be linked with a move to Villa Park, though Luke Young is also a reported target. INS: Nigel Reo-Coker (West Ham - £8.5M), Marlon Harewood (West Ham - Undisclosed)
OUTS: Juan Pablo Angel (New York Red Bulls - Free), Jlloyd Samuel (Bolton - Free), Robert Olejnik (Falkirk - Free), Stephen Henderson (Bristol City - Free), Lee Hendrie (Released), Aaron Hughes (Fulham - £1M), Steven Davis (Fulham - £4M), Chris Sutton (Retired)
    BIRMINGHAM CITY
    BUDGET: £15 MILLION
Birmingham have agreed a deal with Spurs to sign Egyptian forward Mido for £6 million. The striker has fallen further down the pecking order at the north London club after the arrival of Darren Bent from Charlton. If he agrees personal terms and passes a medical, the 24-year-old will become Birmingham's biggest signing of the summer. Mido may also be joined in the Midlands by fellow countryman Hossam Ghaly. The Spurs midfielder seemed to burn all bridges at the club last season, when he reacted to being subbed by tearing off his shirt and throwing it to the ground, which was greeted by a chorus of boos from the White Hart Lane crowd. The Blues may have more cash to spend after the Hong Kong businessman Carson Young became the club's biggest shareholder, buying 29.9% share of the club earlier in the week. INS: Fabrice Muamba (Arsenal - Undisclosed), Stuart Parnaby (Middlesbrough - Free), Gary O'Connor (Lokomotiv Moscow - £2.7M), Olivier Kapo (Juventus - £3M), Daniel de Ridder (Celta Vigo - Free), Richard Kingson (Free)
OUTS: Julian Gray (Released), Bruno N'Gotty (Released), Stephen Clemence (Leicester - £750,000)
    BLACKBURN
    BUDGET: £15 MILLION
Blackburn's attempts to offload striker Francis Jeffers are not really going to plan at the moment. Ipswich withdrew from negotiations with the striker just over a week ago having been put off by his unrealistic financial demands, while Cardiff have now ruled themselves out of the running to land the forward. The Bluebirds were thought to have been interested in Jeffers as a potential replacement for Michael Chopra, who joined Sunderland for £5 million last week, but have denied any interest in the former Everton and Arsenal forward. INS: Gunnar Nielsen (BK Frem Copenhagen - Undisclosed), Maceo Rigters (NAC Breda - Undisclosed)
OUTS: Andy Todd (Derby - Undisclosed), Michael Gray (Released)
    BOLTON
    BUDGET: £15 MILLION
Heider Helguson is set to move to Bolton for an undisclosed fee after passing a medical and agreeing a three-year deal. Wanderers have also been linked with a move for winger Christian Wilhelmsson currently contracted to French club Nantes. The Swedish international spent the second half of last season on loan at Roma and would cost up to £2 million. Nantes have been relegated to the French second division and Wilhelmsson's agent has confirmed that Bolton are interested. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is still tracking Nicolas Anelka and is reportedly keen to re-sign the striker to replace Thierry Henry. INS: Gavin McCann (Aston Villa - £1M), Jlloyd Samuel (Aston Villa - Free), Blerim Dzemaili (FC Zurich - Free), Gerald Cid (Bordeaux - Free), Zoltan Harsanyi (FC Senec - Undisclosed), Danny Guthrie (Liverpool - Loan), Mikel Alonso (Real Soceidad - Loan)
OUTS: Tal Ben Haim (Chelsea - Free), Cesar Martin, David Thompson, Quinton Fortune, Henrik Pedersen (All Released)
    CHELSEA
    BUDGET: £40 MILLION
It could get very busy at Stamford Bridge when Chelsea return from their pre-season tour in America. Captain John Terry will sign a £131,000 a week deal that will make him the highest paid player in the Premier League, and the Blues are expected to make another move for Brazilian Daniel Alves. Sevilla rejected a previous offer of £14 million for the attacking full-back, but a new bid of £20 million could prove too good to turn down. Meanwhile, Arjen Robben has reportedly agreed a deal with Real Madrid, but the clubs are yet to negotiate a fee. Speculation suggests that Chelsea will accept a bid somewhere between £12 to £24 million and look to sign Holland U-21 star Royston Drenthe as his replacement, although Roman Ambramovich has reportedly denied that the move will happen. INS: Steve Sidwell (Reading - Free), Claudio Pizarro (Bayern Munich - Free), Tal Ben Haim (Bolton - Free), Florent Malouda (Lyon - Undisclosed)
OUTS: Nuno Morais (Apoel Nicosia - Free), Yves Makabu-Ma-Kalambay (Hibs Undisclosed), Geremi (Newcastle - Free)
    DERBY
    BUDGET: £10 MILLION
Despite having already spent £3.5 million on striker Robert Earnshaw, it seems Billy Davies is still keen to add to his attacking options. His number one target is USA international Eddie Johnson who is currently the joint top scorer in Major League Soccer with nine goals in nine games. However, a number of clubs are monitoring the Kansas City Wizards man according to his agent and Davies may have a fight on his hands if he is to secure his signature. INS: Tyrone Mears (West Ham - £1M), Robert Earnshaw (Norwich - £3.5M), Andy Todd (Blackburn - Undisclosed)
OUTS: Seth Johnson, Paul Peschisolido, Morten Bisgaard, Paul Boertien, Lee Grant (All Released), Ryan Smith (Millwall - £150,000)
    EVERTON
    BUDGET: £15 MILLION
Everton are thought to be stepping up their attempts to land Manchester United striker Alan Smith, after James Vaughan dislocated a shoulder in friendly action, and could be on the sidelines for two months. Smith was a surprise part of the United party that travelled to the Far East for their pre-season tour, given that the Old Trafford club were seemingly keen to offload the former Leeds man. It is thought that a bid of £6 million would prove enough to begin talks with the player, as a similar bid from Middlesbrough was accepted earlier in the month, although the player was reportedly not keen on the move. INS: Tim Howard (Manchester United), Phil Jagielka (Sheffield United - £4M)
OUTS: Richard Wright (Released), Alessandro Pistone (Released), Gary Naysmith (Sheffield United - £1M)
    FULHAM
    BUDGET: £10 MILLION
Lawrie Sanchez finally completed the signing of David Healy from Leeds for £1.5 million earlier in the week. Sanchez had made no secret of his desire to sign the Northern Ireland ace, whose goal scoring record at international level is superb. The Fulham boss has certainly wasted no time bringing in new players this summer, signing six in total, including four he knows from his time as the Northern Ireland manager. Lee Cook has been confirmed as signing number seven after QPR accepted a £2 million deal that will earn the winger £20,000 per week. INS: Aaron Hughes (Aston Villa - £1M), Steven Davis (Aston Villa - £4M), Chris Baird (Southampton - £3M), Diomansy Kamara (West Brom - £6M), Paul Konchesky (West Ham - Undisclosed), Lee Cook (QPR - £2M), David Healy (Leeds - £1.5M)
OUTS: Tomasz Radzinski, Claus Jensen, Mark Crossley, Mark Pembridge (All Released)
    LIVERPOOL
    BUDGET: £40 MILLION
After securing the signature of Ryan Babel from Ajax last week Rafael Benitez has taken a breather from the transfer market, following a busy few weeks. Players are still being linked with moves to the Anfield club though which suggests that the Spaniard to not ready to halt his spending just yet. The most prominent rumours surround Gabriel Heinze, though Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson has quashed any rumours that he will allow the Argentine to move to his side's bitter rivals. INS: Andrei Voronin (Bayer Leverkusen - Free), Lucas Leiva (Gremio - Undisclosed), Kristian Nemeth and Andras Simon (MTK Hungariam - Undisclosed), Nikolay Mihaylov (Levski Sofia Undisclosed), Fernando Torres (Athletico Madrid - Undisclosed), Yossi Benayoun (West Ham - Undisclosed), Ryan Babel (Ajax - £11.5M)
OUTS: Robbie Fowler (Released), Jerzy Dudek (Released), Florent Sinama-Pongolle (Recreativo Huelva, £2.7M), Danny Guthrie (Bolton Loan), Djibril Cisse (Marseille - Undisclosed), Florent Sinama-Pongolle (Recreativo - £2.7M), Luis Garcia (Athletico Madrid - Undisclosed), Craig Bellamy (West Ham - £7.5M).
    MANCHESTER CITY
    BUDGET: DEPENDS ON TAKEOVER
After weeks of uncertainty regarding the takeover and new manager at Manchester City, Sven-Goran Eriksson went transfer crazy this week, bringing in three new names. First to arrive was Reggina striker Rolando Bianchi who opened his account for the club in a pre-season friendly in mid-week. Young Swiss midfielder Gelson Fernandes was next through the door, a couple of days later, followed by former Barcelona player and ex-Brazilian international Geovanni. Despite the new arrivals, Eriksson has said he is in no rush to release players and has already rejected a £1 million bid from Besiktas for Darius Vassell. INS: Rolando Bianchi (Reggiana - £8.8M), Gelson Fernandes (FC Sion - £2M), Geovanni (Cruzeiro - Free)
OUTS: Joey Barton (Newcastle - £5.5M), Sylvain Distin (Portsmouth - Free), Trevor Sinclair (Released), Stephen Jordan (Released), Hatem Trabelsi (Released), Nicky Weaver (Charlton - Free)
    MANCHESTER UNITED
    BUDGET: £50 MILLION
Carlos Tevez, Carlos Tevez, Carlos Tevez, Carlos Tevez..that's pretty much all anyone's heard in connection with United over the past three weeks. With other transfer business involving Nani, Anderson and Owen Hargreaves wrapped up very early in the summer Tevez remains United's only target and the complications surrounding the deal mean that it's going to take up the column inches for a few weeks yet. United still remain confident of landing the player before the end of the August transfer window, but not necessarily before the season gets underway. In more positive news Kieran Richardson has left the club, signing for Sunderland for an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £5.5 million. INS: Owen Hargreaves (Bayern Munich - Undisclosed), Nani (Sporting Lisbon - Undisclosed), Anderson (FC Porto - Undisclosed), Tomasz Kuszczak (West Brom - Undisclosed)
OUTS: Tim Howard (Everton - Undisclosed), Kieran Richardson (Sunderland - £5.5M)
    MIDDLESBROUGH
    BUDGET: £20 MILLION
Gareth Southgate's interest in Lee Hendrie was obviously not strong enough for him to chase the player who joined Sheffield United earlier this week, but the Boro boss is still thought to be chasing Manchester United's Alan Smith. The Riverside club may step up their efforts to land the striker after reports that Everton are preparing a swoop and that Yakubu may be on the verge of a move to Manchester City. INS: Jonathan Woodgate (Real Madrid - £7M), Jeremie Aliadiere (Arsenal - £2M), Tuncay (Fenerbahce Free)
OUTS: Mark Viduka (Newcastle - Free), Abel Xavier (LA Galaxy - Free), Stuart Parnaby (Released), Malcolm Christie (Released), Danny Graham (Released)
    NEWCASTLE UNITED
    BUDGET: £30 MILLION
Newcastle have probably been more concerned with being raided by police as part of an investigation into corruption in football, rather than signing new players this week. However, things have not stopped altogether with the St James' Park outfit being withdrawn from the stock market after Mike Ashley's takeover was completed, and their pre-season preparations got underway with a 3-1 win over Hartlepool, in which Michael Owen scored. Sam Allardyce will also have been pleased to hear rumours that Obafemi Martins has rejected the chance to move to Arsenal to remain in the north-east. INS: Mark Viduka (Middlesbrough - Free), Joey Barton (Manchester City - £5.5M), Geremi (Chelsea - Free), David Rozenhal (PSG - £2.9M)
OUTS: Scott Parker (West Ham - £7M), Pavel Srnicek (Released), Olivier Bernard (Released), Titus Bramble (Released), Craig Moore (Released), Albert Luque (PSV - Loan), Antoine Sibierski (Wigan - Free), Alan O'Brien (Undisclosed)
    PORTSMOUTH
    BUDGET: £20 MILLION
Despite adding David Nugent and John Utaka to their forward line, Portsmouth continue to be heavily linked with a move for Sevilla striker Fredi Kanoute. The Mali international previously played under Harry Redknapp during his time at West Ham, and has reportedly indicated that he would look favourably on the chance to link up with his old boss, despite a very successful season in Spain. Reports suggest that it would cost £8 million to prise the player out of the Andalucian club's grasp. INS: Sylvain Distin (Man City - Free), Sulley Muntari (Udinese - Undisclosed), Hermann Hreidarsson (Charlton - Free), Martin Cranie (Southampton Free), David Nugent (Preston - £6M), Arnold Mvemba (Rennes - Undisclosed), John Utaka (Rennes - Undisclosed)
OUTS: Svetoslav Todorov (Charlton - Free)
    READING
    BUDGET: £10 MILLION
Reading exited the Peace Cup, a friendly tournament in South Korea, earlier this week and boss Steve Coppell said he now knows where his squad needs strengthening and he will be on the lookout for new blood. Nantes midfielder Emerse Fae was linked with a move last week, but nothing has yet materialised. So far only Kalifa Cisse has been brought in while Steve Sidwell and Greg Halford have departed for pastures new. INS: Kalifa Cisse (Boavista - Undisclosed)
OUTS: Steve Sidwell (Chelsea - Free), Greg Halford (Sunderland - £3M)
    SUNDERLAND
    BUDGET: £25 MILLION
Roy Keane was not exactly struggling for popularity in the red half of Manchester anyway, but having taken Kieran Richardson off them for a reported £5.5 million has only boosted it further. Keane has been busy this week, and has also added Dickson Etuhu to the squad, spending £1.5 million on the midfielder, who turned down a new contract with Norwich at the weekend. The newly promoted club don't show any signs of stopping the spending though with Scottish international goalkeeper Craig Gordon still on the list, and a bid of £9 million reportedly being readied to test the water. INS: Greg Halford (Reading - £3M), Russell Anderson (Aberdeen - £1M), Dickson Etuhu (Norwich - £1.5M), Kieran Richardson (Manchester United - Undisclosed), Michael Chopra (Cardiff City - £5M)
OUTS: Kenny Cunningham (Released), Tommy Miller (Released)
    TOTTENHAM
    BUDGET: £25-30 MILLION
Tottenham have been linked with an £11 million bid for Chelsea's Shaun Wright-Phillips. The diminutive winger is seen as an alternative to the injury-prone Aaron Lennon, but Blues' decision-maker Peter Kenyon, is not keen on Wright-Phillips joining a rival club. There may be some business between the clubs though as Chelsea are interested in Pascal Chimbonda, as they continue their search for a right-back and may offer Glen Johnson in exchange. Egyptian striker Mido looks set to join Birmingham after the clubs agreed a £6 million fee on Friday. INS: Gareth Bale (Southampton - £5M), Adel Taarabt (Lens Undisclosed), Darren Bent (Charlton £16.5M), Yuri Berchiche (Athletic Bilbao - Undisclosed), Younes Kaboul (Auxerre - £8M)
OUTS: Reto Ziegler (Sampdoria - Undisclosed)
    WEST HAM
    BUDGET: £30 MILLION
Carlos Tevez's West Ham future looks likely to be settled by FIFA's mysterious Dispute Resolution Chamber. The Hammers' Player of the Year rejected a new contract offer and seemed close to sealing his move to Manchester United before West Ham cancelled a proposed medical this week. One striker who's already left the club is Marlon Harewood, who joined his friend and former captain Nigel Reo-Coker at Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee earlier in the week. With all those outgoings, West Ham are at least reported to be chasing new signings, with lifelong fan Nicky Shorey apparently flattered by a possible £5 million bid for his services. INS: Scott Parker (Newcastle - £7M), Julien Faubert (Bordeaux - £6.1M), Richard Wright (Everton - Free), Craig Bellamy (Liverpool - £7.5M)
OUTS: Nigel Reo-Coker (Aston Villa - £8.5M), Tyrone Mears (Derby - £1M), Yossi Benayoun (Liverpool - Undisclosed), Paul Konchesky (Fulham - Undisclosed)
    WIGAN
    BUDGET: £15-20 MILLION
Wigan were very close to tying up a £4 million deal for Marlon Harewood before a late phone call from Villa boss Martin O'Neill persuaded the former West Ham striker to move there instead. Latics boss Chris Hutchings has not let that get to him though and has apparently turned his attentions to Portsmouth forward Lomana Lua Lua who he sees as the perfect man to complement the power of Emile Heskey. Meanwhile Andreas Johansson has left the club on a free transfer and joined Danish club AaB Aalborg. INS: Titus Bramble, Antoine Sibierski (Newcastle - Free), Mario Melchiot (Rennes - Free), Andreas Granqvist (Helsingborg - Undisclosed), Carlo Nash (Preston - £300,000), Jason Koumas (West Brom - £5.3M)
OUTS: David Unsworth (Released), Arjan De Zeeuw (Released), Matt Jackson (Watford - Free), Lee McCulloch (Rangers - £2.25M), Andreas Johansson (AaB Aalborg - Free)
