Danegerous play can go anyway, and to make that call is subjective,1st we are talking about a ball, that is primarily played with the foot, post Mane's incident, two followed, where the only intent was to play the ball with the foot.It doesnt say the foot has to be at any angle from the ground, only that it be played ! Are we going to ban players from going for high balls ?

Now lets deal with dangerous , it doesnt have to be with intent but it must be looked at who endangered whom and when did that danger come into play.That ball was Mane's up until the keeper decided to put his head into it ! The danger didnt occur when the Keeper's head struck Mane's foot,but before that, when both decided to go for the ball !

I submit the keeper knew what he was doing and went to draw the foul.Are we saying that players cant attempt to go for such balls ,or in defence of the keepers they cant go head 1st for a ball- when its 50-50, the scenario is dangerous any outcome has that risk, the proof is the incident and the two that followed.

It all comes down to , who gets injured and the refs prefernce,and thats going by the book !

Sometimes we confuse intent to injure or foul with dangerous play. As the law is written there don't have to be intent. It was Blatant Dangerous play.

Dangerous play is diving head first into a man's boots.Regardless that is not a red on Mane's part.The keeper yes,he could have broken his foot,at no time did the keeper attempt to play the ball.That said Newcastle the day after and huddersfield today,a yellow and no card in that order.
