The anti-ub40 crowd have a valid argument when that is the ONLY approach being taken. That said, there is a heap of benefit that local players can get just knowing foreign-based jamaicans. There is simply not enough exposure for many of our players, playing with compatriots that live abroad helps give them better perspective.

This distinction between Jamaicans ah ya'd and Jamaicans elsewhere is what will keep our country back. The jews have figured it out. We should follow their model and embrace any person of Jamaican descent as Jamaican without distinction. It makes us stronger. What division does is drive our talent elsewhere providing zero benefit to uplifting our people. Think about it. Assuming all players have a fair shot, the fact that there are no local players only highlights the short comings of our local programs, nothing more, nothing less.
