Ali Curtis is the GM and I guess he hired is friend. Personally although I am supportive of a brother in one of the great MLS jobs I am not impressed with Ali. He could not extend our most successful coach, neither could he keep our best player, resigned a broken down Altidore to a long term deal.

I wouldn't hire Ali Curtis to manage a "Beer League" team.......(Ali Curtis was at NYRB for only 2 seasons - 2015 & 2016) When Curtis was hired as the Sporting Director of NYRB, Mike Petke (who I think is a talented young head coach - won '13 Supporters' Shield, but has a big ego) had already put together a good squad. '15 Jesse Marsch was the head coach (won '15 & '18 Supporters' Shield and '17 Open Cup runners-up), and by the end of the '16 season Ali Curtis was out, because of his conflicts with Marsch.
