1. The Leagues Cup, which started in 2019, was contested between 8 clubs (4 from MLS & 4 from Liga MX). The new expanded Leagues Cup, starting this year, will have all MLS clubs & all Liga MX clubs in a month-long tournament.
2. Next year, Copa America will played in the U.S., and it is planned that CONMEBOL & CONCACAF will finalize the plans for a club tournament between the top clubs from both confederations.
*I think in about 2 years, MLS clubs will start using their MLS Next Pro teams to play in the U.S. Open Cup. MLS owners & coaches aren't fond of the competition, and a month ago Garber openly said that he didn't like it.
*It's said that Garber is planning to propose changes to the MLS salary cap - increasing the minimum player salary, increasing the salary cap, and also having a flooring to ensure owners will have to spend a reasonable amount to have a good & competitive squad. The flooring is probably aimed at Stan Kroenke
