The ReggaeBoyz was like an orchestra without a conductor. Their is no reason that this ReggaeBoyz team should be struggling to qualify for the 2026 WC, absolutely no reason - 1. They didn't have to play against Mexico, Canada nor the U.S; 2. Costa Rica, who usually has a good, competitive team, had their worst team I've seen in decades; 3. They didn't have to play in Central America for the final qualifying phase; and 4. They had so many experienced pro players from good leagues, BUT the JFF decided to hire Steve McClaren as their head coach/manager. Steve McClaren, an English coach who wouldn't be hired as the head coach/manager of a Premier League club. The last time SM achieved anything meaningful was the '09/10 season in the Netherlands. Since then he has struggled as a head coach/manager.
