Milwaukee Marquette High School scored twice in the first 15 minutes and rolled to a 3-1 win over Neenah this afternoon in the quarterfinals of the Wisconsin state high school tournament.
Marquette, with a 20-2-1 record, is ranked #8 nationally and #1 in Region 6 of the NSCAA/Adidas high school soccer poll. Neenah was ranked tenth in the region and finished with an 18-4-2 record.
Homestead High School, located in the Milwaukee suburb of Mequon, and ranked eighth in Region 6, won its quarterfinal match 2-1 over Eau Claire Memorial.
Marquette and Homestead meet in the semifinals tomorrow night.
Muskego, ranked fifth in Region 6, plays tonight.
