St. George’s begins Manning Cup campaign with 2-1 victory

All-island champions St. George's College kicked off their ISSA Pepsi/Digicel Manning Cup campaign with a clinical 2-1 victory over St. Jago on Saturday at Jarrett Park.

However it was a bruising match for defending champion St. Elizabeth Technical in their DaCosta Cup draw against Lacovia.

St. George's were on the score sheet early as Kareem Manning scored the first goal of the new season.

St. Jago equalised through Romario Constant in the 63rd minute, but the never say die defending champions snatched the winner on the brink on time.

In the DaCosta Cup opener it was Lacovia, who surprised the defending champions STETHS by scoring the first goal, but they rallied minutes later to earn a point.

    Don1,

JC looks good this year with Ashani Walker still playing!

We have lost Morgan and the KC big Fwd Tulloch but we have another KC fwd this year.

What's going on with St G versus KC 6th forms? KC th form no good or it is that St G entry standards are lower?
The same type of thinking that created a problem cannot be used to solve the problem.

Dont try to be funny Time. The boys just know where to get a BALANCED education plus where to find the best coach. Unfortunately KC's old boys dont know poop how to coach.
