THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

True... I wonder if they are considering testing of these athletes?!

Very few human of any age can run under 10 seconds with the current shoes, gears and track. A schoolboy cannot run 100m under 10 seconds naturally anytime soon. We need to see improvements in shoes, gears and track and it occurring more frequently among adults before that becomes possible.

With respect to Rasheed Chambers time. He started doing serious strength training during primary champs. He said is when he defeated Ferron at Primary Champs. That is probably the basis of his super fast time now but how will that affect his muscle development by the time he gets to class 1? We will have to wait and see.

        You sure bout dat?

        18 y.o. runs 10.01 yesterday

AUSTIN, Texas -- Baylor freshman Trayvon Bromell made a sparkling debut in the 100 meters on Saturday at the Texas Relays.

Bromell set a meet record by winning in 10.01 seconds, a victory that came barely 24 hours after he first smashed the old mark with the top time in qualifying.

Two records in two days at one of the premiere track events of the year in the U.S. is a quite a statement from the 18-year-old who was the 2013 Gatorade national boys track athlete of the year in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Good run! But he will not amount to anything. US T&F training sucks!

17 year old Japanese runs 10.01 in 2013 (maybe)

Teen sprinter raising global profile after breakout 2013

            DEC 4, 2013

Yes, it was only seven months ago that many first heard this teenager’s name. Kiryu, 17, ran 10.01 seconds in the men’s 100 meters semifinals at the Mikio Oda Memorial Meet on April 29. That time was Japan’s second-fastest ever and the world junior record (the latter status was later removed by the IAAF because the Japan Association of Athletics Federations didn’t use the proper anemometer) .

Did they test him for drugs? We should expect the fastest high school times from an upper 6th former who is about 18+ years old.

Who knows. Thats the problem with T&F post-Ben Johnson as PeterR was saying, you just don't know what to believe. I am sure many around the world are asking that same question about our high school athletes this morning.

This kid has been running really fast for a while, ran 10.19 at 16 y.o. With any improvement he should break 10.00 this year

Everything is relative, esp in a champs enviroment, that put him and everyone else on a different level.

We had 3 or 4 boys in or below 10:40 in the 100 and the 200 is another mirror

4 or 5 boys that can dip below 20:50....different level in relativity to competition, nutrtion, training, competition and of course peaking.

Thats why it ****es me off when academia like Quako & Babsy talk nonsense about hills ,yam, banana and dumpling to explain our progression.

Embarrasing...why not say running from gunshots to feed the streotype.

Lol, true. However truth is no matter what is said there will be those who will believe we are doping. Can't do anything much about what people want to believe but we can be vigilant and professional in our handling of our athletes.
