Matter yes. If the institution was not there and the products and professionals were not there then I could laugh at someone making such a statement. When you talk about finance/economic development and high technology, that is the Valley's domain. Do people usually most frequently refer to the particular institution? yes
In the states if you use the area instead of the institution, do industry people accept it? certainly.
