KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) -- Trevor Berbick, who lost his heavyweight title to Mike Tyson and was the last boxer to fight Muhammad Ali, was found dead Saturday in a church courtyard in his hometown, police said. He was believed to be 52.

Berbick's body was discovered about 6:30 a.m. in Portland parish, constable Beverly Howell said. No further details were available.

Thanks T.K. I had just read the headline only.

Berbick lived in my hometown area, and from all indications since he returned he had been acting strange - people referred to him as crazy (so I wondered if he was on a high).

I made some phone calls, and it is said that he was very aggressive and violent with the youth, always physically fighting them, and people have formed the opinion that his behavior is the result of this brutal demise.

SAD anyway you take it.

Yeah they said the same thing about Berbick when he was boxing in England. Something was just not right with him. It has been speculated that he suffers from depression but Iwould bet dollars to dougnutsthere is some chemical imbalance in the brain that was never diagnosed. - T.K.
