JLP executive called to an emergency meeting
Saturday, 26 September 2009 Members of the Jamaica Labour Party's (JLP) executive as well as the party's officials have been called to an emergency meeting on Sunday.

The meeting to be held at the Jamaica Conference Centre in Downtown Kingston will also be attended by political representatives of the party.

According to an advisory issued on Saturday, Party Leader and Prime Minister Bruce Golding will address several critical issues affecting the party as well as the country.

When contacted, the Public Relations arm of the party would not disclose the details of matters to be discussed but advised that Mr. Golding's address in the afternoon would be open to the media.

However, sources have confirmed that the party will among other things examine the bribery allegations made against former Junior Minister and current Member of Parliament Joe Hibbert.

Matters pertaining to a possible by-election in Mr. Hibbert's East Rural St. Andrew constituency are also on the agenda.

I think this has more to do with Hibbert. Dudus needs to be shipped off since our justice system will never put him away.
