Lyns' murder convicts sentenced to death

The two men convicted of the murder of Manchester elderly couple, Richard and Julia Lyn have been sentenced to death.

Lennox Swaby and Calvin Powell have also been given a life sentence for the murders.

In handing down sentence in the Home Circuit Court today, Senior Puisne Judge Marva McIntosh said the killing of the elderly couple was premeditated and the men showed no sign of remorse.

Richard and Julia Lyn were killed between December 9 and 10, 2006 and their bodies found in a dump in Manchester.

I think I understand it now. After the appeals process is drawn out, they'll end up getting a life sentence.
