have you read all my posts? i believe that personal responsibility ought to be taken, but in order to address that in a meaningful way the root needs to be understood and the paradigm for that tailored accordingly.

affirmative action has been a useful tool in ensuring that inter alia minorities have a better chance to attend college the benefit of which manifests itself in future generations.

the lack of personal responsibility is not unrelated (I THINK) to level of education. WHO is going to teach these youth about personal responsibility, their father? as i said in a previous post the majority of persons are not able to consistently think outside of their socialisation and that is one of the reasons why children live what they learn and learn what they live.

Infidelity does not consist in believing, or in disbelieving; it consists in professing to believe what he does not believe. Thomas Paine

my intention is not for people to use it as a crutch, indeed, mi wish for my children is that they end up as better persons than me BUT i intend to make them VERY aware of thier history.

while we pretend that it did not happen, people will snicker behind our backs and call us ************************ in remembrance of a time when they did not have to hide and do it.

e.g. some people say why have a black history month..it is racist to promote the history of one ethnicity over the other....what this overlooks is that a majority of the contributions of black people to history was overlooked and just cited as "history". they did not have to say "white history" that went without saying. but then along comes the holocaust...no problem...make sure that it is taght in schools.

and so we buy that. the above observations are perhaps more relevant in north america.
Well well said sir. Maximum respect sums it up succintly. Maybe Shakespeare was wrong: we shouldn't kill all lawyers. LOL.
