  • Does this make any sense? So if the courts say

Dudus shouldn't be arrested, then what? The numerous gunmen walk free?

Security Forces awaiting court’s decision before entering Tivoli

The Minister of National Security in Jamaica, Senator Dwight Nelson, says the security forces are now waiting on the courts to decide the way forward before an attempt is made to enter the Tivoli Gardens community.

Lawyers for west Kingston strongman, Christopher “Dudus” Coke, yesterday filed a motion challenging the arrest warrant, which was issued on Tuesday for him to face extradition proceedings in court.

Residents in the Tivoli Gardens community have since mounted barricades, blocking the entrances to the community.

Senator Nelson says the police will do all in their power in an attempt to diffuse the situation in a non-violent manner.

He says he will gladly welcome the intervention of any church or civic group in mediating the dispute.

Senator Nelson also says he has not received any information that the residents of west Kingston have used electrical power lines in their blockades.

Thanks to the dilly-dallying by the PM and the AG, Dudus stands an excellent chance of getting off. Not sure if he'll get off the entire extradition request, but he'd certainly get some more time to be free from police action against him.

    Thanks again, Bruce!

Who is this Nelson guy. Is this clown for real. Waiting on the courts decision to enforce current law. The people are breaking the law in TG as we speak. Blocking public roads is a crime, at least the last I checked.

In response to Dudus' court action?

That deals with his being taken into custody for the purpose of extradition. All that should happen if that is the case...as in the US he walk out of the courthouse into the arms of the arresting local police on charges supported by the legally obtained wire-taps that *Likle Brucie says he has.

*You do remember that Likle Brucie wants the name of the cop who "illegally gave the wire-tap" to the US authorities?

...and you do realise that it was explicit that the wire-taps were authorised by the GOJ previous to Likle Brucie coming to power?
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
