• Dorothy did not know that Dudus had JLP lnks

You mean that neither the JLP, JCF or JDF intelligence people never trust Dorothy enough to tell her that Dudus has strong JLP links? Is this another failure of intelligence or it is not the norm for cabinet member to get crimimal intelligence?

And what about the PNP, why them keep them mouth shut about the Dudus links to the JLP? You means that is all this fuss fuss Peter the Great and the PNP and the newspapers never once mention that Dudus had JLP links?

If the link between Dudus and Bruce was not the JLP the what was it?

I didn’t’ know Dudus was a JLP strongman – Lightbourne

The justice minister Dorothy Lightbourne today told the Manatt- Dudus commission of enquiry that she was never aware that Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke was a Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) strongman in Western Kingston.

Lightbourne made the comment while facing a sixth day of questioning at the enquiry.

The enquiry is probing the circumstances that led to the nine-month delay in the signing of the extradition request for alleged crime lord Christopher Coke and the hiring of US law firm Manatt, Phelps and Phillips to block the extradition.

Lightbourne’s statement is similar to that made by the national security minister Dwight Nelson who also testified that he did not know that Dudus was the leader of the Shower Posse.

Under cross examination from People's National Party attorney KD Knight today, Lightbourne said she was aware of allegations that Christopher Coke was a reputed don.

But she said she never knew of his links to the JLP.

Earlier the justice minister said she had disagreed with statements her lawyers had made on her behalf in a court document against the wiretap evidence cited by the United States for the extradition of Christopher Coke.

Lightbourne was being grilled by Knight about an application for judicial review initiated by the United States after she refused to sign the extradition request in August 2009.

In the document her lawyers had said among things there was no provision precluding the use of wiretap evidence.

The document also said there was evidence other than the wiretap material that could form the basis for the extradition request.

Lightbourne would trigger further frustration for Knight as she gave inappropriate responses to questions as to whether the court was best placed to interpret the issues she raised about the extradition request.

Big up Karl Samuda, at least him admit to knowing him very well.

Lets see what we have so far.

      i) Dudus was a businessman - An importer/Exporter well known to the Industry and Commerce Minister.

ii) Dudus was not a security threat or involved in the security business otherwise the security minister would have known a lot about him.

iii) Dudus was not subject to much prosecution or involved in the administation of justice, othewise the Justice Minister would have known much about him via the DPP.
