Funny how the 3 mouseketeers (Lazie, Ben and Sass) run from dis one!

In my view, this is worthy of a prison sentence. People's Act?!?!

If they had an agreement with the particular merchant and the vouchers could be used as a form of receipt?

Just asking as I recall Gleaner used to give us vouchers at the end of the year as part of our bonus that could be redeemed at certain supermarkets and at Courts...my printer/scanner/fax machine at home was bought with one such voucher

I don't know about Jamaica but in your country of residence issuing scrip is not illegal...and is certainly not forgery unless the notes purport to be the legal tender issued by the state

I would like to hear the three musketeers (Lazie, Ben and Sass) on this. Ben may start off saying ; "it takes cash to care".

No this is forgery. Also a modern form of people swearing on the bible that they are JLP before gettiing medical attention (due to scarcity of doctors in those days) More things , change the more the remain the same.

    I like creative people...

The voucher, which also bears the national flag and coat of arms, is marked "Issued under the Peoples Act."

The Gleaner's checks of law catalogues do not reveal the existence of any such law. Asked to explain the reason for such a notation, the MP said: "I think my office was just being creative."
