Motorists will hear in a few days if they will have to pay more to travel on the Portmore Leg of Highway 2000.
<SPAN class=news_body>When the highway was opened last July the Government had indicated that fluctuations in the exchange rate could affect the cost of travelling on the Highway.
At that time Transport and Works Minister Robert Pickersgill said the toll would be reviewed in six months.
Immediate Past Chairman of the National Road Operating and Constructing Company (NROCC), Kingsley Thomas, says the Government is expected to announce next week if there will be an increase.
Mr. Thomas, who was speaking Thursday night at a forum on Highway 2000, disclosed that he resigned as Chairman of NROCC two weeks ago.
It has not been ascertained who is the new Chairman.</SPAN>
