Can you believe the fairy tale-like leniency of this sentence?! We know that Europe has a very liberal approach to many things, including the death penalty (one of the challenges that several of the Commonwealth Caribbean islands are faced with has to do with having the British Privy Council as its final court), but Norway’s maximum penalty is ridiculous!!!
Imagine, 21 years for murdering almost 80 people! And we are talking here about cold, premeditated homicide!

Norwegian mass killer Anders Behring Breivik says he will not appeal against a court ruling finding him sane and sentencing him to 21 years in jail.
He said appealing would legitimise the court, which he rejects.
Breivik admits killing 77 people in bomb and shooting attacks last year.
He says this was necessary to prevent what he calls Islamisation and insists he is sane.
Prosecutors, who had sought an insanity ruling, also told the Oslo court they would not appeal.
