Motorist Mobbed, Killed In St Catherine

    Published: Saturday September 29, 2012 | 1:52 pm0 Comments
A motorist who reportedly mowed down several persons who were assisting a pedestrian hit by another motor vehicle was set up on and mobbed to death in Old Harbour, St Catherine yesterday.

He has been identified as 41-year-old Michael Melbourne.

The Constabulary Communications Network (CCN) says the pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, also succumbed to his injuries.

The Old Harbour Police reports that shortly after 7 p.m. the pedestrian was walking along the Old Harbour Road when he was hit by a vehicle that did not stop.

It is reported that residents came to his assistance and a number of them were allegedly mowed down by the driver of a Toyota Hiace motor vehicle being driven by Melbourne.

CCN says Melbourne was then attacked by angry residents who mobbed him and stabbed him several times.

I am guessing Mr Melbourne stopped to help after the accident ?
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Looks like that section of the road is dangerous for pedestrians. The people who were helping the first pedestrian may have been in a dangerous spot.
The same type of thinking that created a problem cannot be used to solve the problem.

He broke the law and ran over people trying to save a life.

2 wrong don't make a right, but U ignore his wrong.

What is the relevance of his 'wrong' ??

Did he run over the people intentionally ?

Was he overtaking at an unbroken white line ??

He he was disciplined it would not have happened. He drove thru drums set up to protect the people helping the fallen biker.

It showed GROSS dereliction. Dangerous driving and possibly manslaughter if any of the samaritans died.

I wont ignore his part in the matter.

The mob was unforgivable, but how much better wads the driver.

DID YOU READ THE FULL REPORT???
