Holness misleading the people, says Pickersgill

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The People’s National Party (PNP) chairman Robert Pickersgill this morning described comments made by Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) leader Andrew Holness as disappointing.
"Let me say from the outset that it is unfortunate that the opposition leader sought to mislead the people of Jamaica concerning critical issues," said the PNP chairman.

Pickersgill made the comment in response to statements made by Opposition leader Holness at Sunday’s annual JLP conference about the PNP’s handling of the economy.
Holness had also criticised the PNP’s leadership style and delays in signing a new International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme.
The PNP press conference is now in progress at the party’s Old Hope Road headquarters in Kingston.
