On a serious note, GOJ must make Engineering, Physics, Mathematics and Comp Sci tertiary fees FREE and raise the fees for legal, business and SocSci type of degrees.

We need a cadre of future makes to get in on dis new post information age.
U tech should be leading the way but dem fool, so I hope the & Day University tek up the challenge.

That probably will be difficult but they can limit the number of scholarships and loans to students who want to study law, pol sci, etc and increase the loans and scholarships for those who want to study science and engineering.

There are so many people in Jamaica with Phds in all sort of crap, and too many law degrees. Everybody In Jamaica seems to be a lawyer these days. There is also a large volume of MBAs, that I have to wonder about the quality of these MBAs. All of them working in "branding". That is the latest catchword in Jamaica, which appears to be a euphemism for sales rep. What are they branding. The last I checked we weren't producing much. The fuel import bill is higher than we earn from exports. That is laughable with so many lawyers, MBAs and Econ PHDs.

I would too. Most likely some British design, Chinese or Indian built knockoff trying to get market share by branding it as Jamaican. Hope the machine works and is deeply discounted. That is all we can hope for with those arrangements.
