    Machel Montano fined TT$27,000

    PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) – Magistrate Maureen Baboolal-Gafoor Monday slapped fines totalling TT$27,200 on Soca star Machel Montano, who had been found guilty of assaulting four people and using obscene language outside a night club in 2007. (One TT dollar = US$0.16 cents)
    Montano, was fined TT$13,700 dollars and also has to pay $TT13, 500 in compensation to the victims of the brawl.

    How yuh fi lock up the face of Trinidad? If dem sen Machel guh a prison, wha happen to soca music? Worse fi fight and cuss badwud? WTF?

      Kartel, Buju, Busy Signal... just to mention a few who have been and/or are still guests of some jurisdiction or other... BUT as you said if they lock him who lef? LOL

      Seriously, Montano's fine is a joke, considering what the trial cost the state and how long it took... anyway... Montano don't get my money at all, maybe Exile wi pay money fi see him but not even a free ticket would draw me near any of his concerts... having said that, if you are a fan of soca, he is the guru.
