"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Cities planning ahead for legalized medical marijuana
March 19, 2014|By Lisa J. Huriash, Sun Sentinel
Several South Florida cities are preparing for the day when Florida legalizes marijuana for medical use.

No matter that the ballot initiative won't go before voters until November: Pembroke Park recently became among the first to consider how to regulate grow houses.

I watched him debate Sabet, the ganja opponent.Seems as if Kennedy came full circle ,and is more into the legalisation, decriminalisation for medical use, this guy Sabet seems to be defending his treatment programs, which are up in smoke because they are linked to the criminalisation process of offering alternate punishment via treament.

Republicans seem to be on board , I was expecting stiff resistance but it seems like they folded without a fight.

I agree with this guy the cultural change is too wide to halt the tide, it is indeed an avalanche.I think Christie will be one to go down with it ,he will loose states because of that Gupta attack on his CNN piece.

The Georgia Senate on Thursday unanimously approved limited use of medical marijuana in Georgia, sending the legislation back to the state House with expectations of extended negotiations.
House Bill 885, by Rep. Allen Peake, R-Macon, includes a separate mandate added by the Senate that would require health insurance policies sold in Georgia to cover behavioral therapy for children 6 and under who have been diagnosed with autism. The move could complicate passage for what Unterman has dubbed the “Kids Care Act.
