Quallo came in as the safe choice for the JCF and he did nothing not to prove that. At no stage did he lick out against the rank and file. He should have been more forceful on the palisades thing. He brought nothing new to operations and wasn't very forceful to criminals etc. He seems to be a very passive guy. Not sure if he wouldn't be good long term but you have to hit the ground running.

How can you say Duterte's tactic is a failure when he cleaned up an entire city when he was mayor and that is what propelled him to the presidency. Some bleeding heart liberals are opposed but the vast majority of Phillipinos strongly back him. They had to do something. They needed drastic measures and I am all for it. Law abiding citizens will lose some freedoms as can happen in any state of emergency or curfew. So what?. They should just continue to allow murders to spiral out of control?.Originally posted by Sir X View PostIt's a failure in the Philippines, political killings are hidden as drug dealings, the corrupt justice system is intact, the corrupt and antiquated civil laws to enforce prosecution remains untouched the inevitable conclusion will be a revolt to go back to the status quo.
The solution is simply to enact laws that deal with corruption from uptown to downtown leaving no part of governance untouched.
Kgn is now the contract killing capital of the carribbean, expect Mobay to be the next.

It worked in the City , now he is running a nation ,absolute power corrupts, its being used to literally silence the opposition and those same police officers are killing people innocently to justify the war on drugs , in other words it has turned into a killing quota system, where numbers are the justification, these same law abiding citizens are turning against it !
It has no accountability, much like the previous shitstem,it failed as it would ! Its a short fixed for a bigger problem, weak criminal laws to deal with corruption.

What do you do to stem the tide until long-term solutions can be enacted?. You can't just throw up your hands in the air and wait until the problem burns itself out. That's not a solution. You have a criminal justice system the is basically a catch-and-release system and nobody gets convicted even when there ius overwhelming evidence. Something has to be done fast and that means taking out known criminals uptown and downtown.Originally posted by Sir X View PostIt worked in the City , now he is running a nation ,absolute power corrupts, its being used to literally silence the opposition and those same police officers are killing people innocently to justify the war on drugs , in other words it has turned into a killing quota system, where numbers are the justification, these same law abiding citizens are turning against it !

This is the article
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/23/w...crackdown.html
The problem is the murdering of Innocents or extrajudicial killings is not a solution,it reaches a point where it isn't even a quick fix but a problem, citizens have to demand accountability and change from the government.
Espuet wrote an article suggesting we need outside help, maybe we do ! When you have an island that takes over 50 years to enact anti corruption legislation it's obvious the problem is leadership and antiquated laws.
Jamaica have been doing what has been done in the Philippines for decades, extending it uptown or round town will only excacerbate the problem if we don't deal with the central problem i.e Big man political/ business corruption.
The citizens will be numb and immune to the erosion of life.Literally living it.Last edited by Sir X; January 29, 2018, 08:49 PM.THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

Outside help like the idiots from England?. Haven't we tried that before?. There are men and women in Jamaica who can solve the problem. The problem is the politicians. The ones who are criminal or criminal-facilitators should be dealt with also.Originally posted by Sir X View PostThis is the article

This notion that the citizenry needs to demand change and accountability is what it takes is pure nonsense. We have been doing that for the longest while.

So who is going to make change if not the citizens ? Who Duerte? The idiots from England operated within the Jamaican constitution i.e it's laws, what did you expect, that speaks to it's ineffectiveness !
Outside help like the FBI ,under US law in the way of white collar corruption !
We all know the problem ,even the politicians will admit they are the problem, isn't that some sh*t ?
So who else can fix it,we need a MLK,a Barrack,A Manley,A Chavez ,A Castro,A Che,we need a transformative leader willing to lead and give his life or we need a revolution and that means the people !THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

What you mean constitution?. There is no law in our constitution that allows apprehension of criminals and for the security forces to neutralize armed bandits?. It must be that the clueless idiots from England never read our constitution then because they never made a single dent in crime. We don't need them. They were overrated and useless in my opinion. There are men and women right there in Ja who can solve the problem if given adequate resources and left alone to do their jobs.Originally posted by Sir X View PostSo who is going to make change if not the citizens ? (if) given adequate resources and that comes from the laws of governance which is the constitution,we democratically elect leaders to dictate to us,they answer to no one.I call it a Democratic dictatorship.
Again you know who holds the strings to the resources and you know who elects them ,also under what law.
So there is the problem, these same leaders can let the full force of the JDF wipe out every criminal in JA,they would rise again in half a generation, why ?
The shitstem has not been eradicated only the criminal elements.THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

X, you need breathing room for long term solutions to be implemented but until such time you need to eradicate criminals while the long term social engineering gets time to take effect. If you give each of the estimated 100000 gang members in Jamaica 100 acres and a jackass tomorrow, do you think they are gonna stop killing people?Originally posted by Sir X View Post(if) given adequate resources and that comes from the laws of governance which is the constitution,we democratically elect leaders to dictate to us,they answer to no one.I call it a Democratic dictatorship.

I am in favor of extrajudicial killings given the environment,it's the reality of where we are but let's not fool ourselves,it's no panacea for our solution.
We need a transformative leader able to bridge the tribalist divide, someone who can't be bought or fooled.
We have none,Suh we will gwaaan suffa !THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

When you have laws that make the implementation process a merry go round and exercise of yapping,I beg to differ.
Like the American card of filerbustering, even they had to implement a law to do away with it in a sense.THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!
