Bricky.am not sure what is the difference between kilowatts
And megawatts.I am a shame to say I don't know nothing
Of metric system and furthermore am not 100 percent
Knows empirial units which is almost like American units
And both are known as English units. In the early eighties
Jamaica uses empirial units. Now they uses metric. However
Am talking kilowatts or kw.See if you can figure it out?.

i think you mean megawatts...one megawatt = 1,000 kilowatts...the slowpoke research reactor at UWI is 20kw...our daily energy demand is over 700 megawatts so we should build several small (100mw) reactors so that when one is down for maintenance the island isn't in a blackout...

slowpoke is the name of the 20kw (kilowatt) research reactor at UWI...we need something much bigger for energy distribution...bigger than kilowatts...we need a megawatt reactor...

            Bricktop.The international agency recommended
No more than 100plus kw because of earth quakes.
Remember ja is in a continental zone for earthQuakes. We dont want nothin like haiti around
A decade ago. With this it can be disasterour for
Kingston.Jamaica and the entire caribbean is in
            A earthQuake zone.OK boss.Thanks for your
Info.I did not knew what unit a kilowatt belong
            To.What a slowpoke is.Thanks for the elightenment.
These days.Alot of countries are doing away with
            Reactors.Jamaica need it.A 75kw is below a small.Its better safe than never .Thanks👍
