But having a Green Card is not having dual citizenship. Having a Green Card only gives the right to live and work in the USA. She would not have taken an oath of allegiance to any other state so she would not be in violation of the rules for people in elected office as laid out by the Jamaican Constitution.

Tilla et al,
I thought that having a Green Card was a "use or lose it" scenario?!? That is, if you do not reside in the country for "x" of months per year you would no longer be eligible to keep it...

U only have to visit every 6 months.

I believe you risk losing your green card if you are out of the country for more than a year.
