    that AG Merrick Garland is missing in action?

    No sure about that. AG Garland moves quietly. Among other things I am expecting him to support the US Congressional Committee investigating the "January 6 Insurrection" - (e.g.enforce the Committee's recommendation to take action against those defying subpoenas) - and to fight/take to the courts against the suppression of voting laws and other acts introduced by GOP State Administrations and/or Governors.
