MONTEGO BAY, St James - Ten more schools, led by defending champions Glenmuir, along with four former winners, advanced to the Inter-Zone round of the daCosta Cup schoolboy football competition as the return round ended yesterday.
Glenmuir, Cornwall College, Rusea's High, Frome Technical, Clarendon College, Petersfield High, Holmwood Technical, Garvey Maceo High, Brimmervale and Annotto Bay advanced to make the number of teams in the second round 22, with two more to be decided next week.

The other teams already through are Grange Hill from Zone B; Ocho Rios High and Cedric Titus from Zone D; Munro College and St Elizabeth Technical (STETHS) from Zone E; Manchester High and Bellefield from Zone F; Spalding from Zone G; Dinthill and Glengoffe from Zone J and St Thomas Technical and Fair Prospect from Zone L.
The other spots up for grabs are the runners-up spot from Zone A, as well as the other qualifying spot from Zone H.
Holmwood accounted for 22 of the 142 goals that were scored in 29 games yesterday as they hammered Albert Town, who turned up with just eight players, to advance ahead of Christiana, as both teams finished their fixtures on 15 points - behind zone winners Spalding.
The Dave Anderson-coached Holmwood finished with a goal difference of 28, while Christiana, who beat Knox 5-0, had a goal difference of 16.
Glenmuir and Zone I leaders Garvey Maceo both eased into the second round with 7-1 wins over Tacius Golding and Central High, respectively. Jon-Ross Doyley scored three times for Glenmuir, while Ashton Bennett's five-timer took his tally for the season to 13.
Garvey Maceo lead with 23 points - four more than Glenmuir, who have two games in hand while Garvey Maceo have an outstanding match.
Cornwall secured a Ben Francis KO spot from Zone A after a come-from-behind 3-1 win over second-placed St James at Jarrett Park, repeating their first round margin.
Radcliff Hall scored his 11th goal of the season to take Cornwall level in the 45th minute after Allan Ottey had given St James the lead in the 24th.
A 61st-minute penalty by Edward Campbell and an 87th-minute 'bomber' from 24 yards from Rushdeen Jagdeen completed the scoring.
Cornwall's 24 points cannot be overhauled by either St James or Irwin, who drew 0-0 with Anchovy to move to 11 points - four behind St James, but with a game in hand.
Rusea's and Frome confirmed their places from Zone B with 5-0 and 3-2 wins over Knockalva and Merlene Ottey, but each has a game in hand to decide the group winners.
Rusea's enjoy a massive lead over Frome on goal difference - 29 to 14 - however.
Petersfield joined Zone C winners Grange Hill after cruising to a 4-0 win over Little London, while Godfrey Stewart missed the Inter- Zone round for the second straight year after losing 2-0 to Maud McLeod.
Damali Samuels and Andel Callman scored two each as Clarendon secured their place from Zone H with a 8-1 drubbing of Kellits, while Denbigh moved closer to the other qualifying place after eliminating Vere 8-0.
Jermaine Christian scored six times for Denbigh to take his tally on the season to 20 goals.
Brimmervale's 2-0 win over St Mary Tech was enough to give them the group honours over Annotto Bay, who were held to a 0-0 draw by Iona, as both advanced from Zone K.
Meanwhile, one more Ben Francis spot will be decided tomorrow when Cedric Titus host joint Zone D winners Ocho Rios in Clarks Town. Both stayed locked at the top on 25 points after wins yesterday.
Cedric Titus beat Aabuthnott Gallimore 6-1, while Ocho Rios were 2-0 winners over York Castle. Cedric Titus have a +24 goal difference against Ocho Rios' +23.
