Freddy Adu methodically lines up five soccer balls during a post-practice competition with D.C. United team mate Alecko Eskandarian.

Eskandarian has already banged home four of five balls from 25 metres out against United goalkeeper Troy Perkins and now it is down to Ghana-born Adu.

He turns to Eskandarian and smiles. Eskandarian then watches in awe as Adu fires all five in succession past a bewildered Perkins, who looks skyward with his hands on hips.

"Donovan was excellent. We knew he was a good player, but he really didn't do anything wrong in the whole game and made it difficult for us."

I understand that the Empire needs a good shoe-shine and ball boy. He can apply for the job. I am sure that if he goes to Manu then he'll develop into a great player. It's a waste of time if he goes to Chelski. Dem nuh have no time fe develop youth players, dem just buy!
