'Chevron' is so 80s, the name of the track at stadium east is Mondo, the same company that has laid the track for the Olympic Games, World and European Championships, and just about every major meet anywhere in the world.

Same track that is in Montego Bay as well.

While Chevron was kinda 'flacky' in that it had strands like grass, if you know what I mean, Mondo is a synthetic rubber that is supposed to protect the athletes while giving them maximum propulsion.

Interestingly it is not advised that athletes should train regularly on Mondo as it could hurt their knees, ankles and hips and also cause shin splints.
Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.
