Of Spencer, Russell and JADCO's need to embrace technology
By Dr Rachael Irving
Odean, in his case, indicated that at one stage the DCO made contact with his wife, but by that time he had already left home and was deemed to have missed the test. Where is modern Global Positioning System (GPS) in the relationship between JADCO and the athletes? The United States Anti-doping Agency (USADA) has an Athlete Express App and website, where an athlete can use an autofill calendar to update the location calendar from whereever the athlete is.

JADCO chaperone alleges athlete Riker Hylton refused sample collection
As Crowne's cross-examination of Brown moved on, things hit a snag when the JADCO executive director — despite repeated questions from Hylton's lawyer — declined to explain what caused JADCO to decide on “further investigation” into the Hylton matter between August 2016 and January 2017.
Brown kept replying he “can't say” to which Crowne posited that such a position was “unfair to athletes” and also lacked “transparency”.
The tribunal panel was also interested in the reason for that six-month delay in proceeding with a case against the athlete, but Brown told Gibson Henlin that he “would not want to say”.
