Is which Mexican tell you this ?Originally posted by Reggae-Fan View PostYou mean when they beat us 3-0, Canada 2-1, and Honduras 2-1?
Mexico always struggle in Kingston, so I dont think anyone should be totally surprsied that they lost here. In Canada last night, temps were hovering just above freezing when the final whistle was blown.
I dont see Mexico going 3 games unbeaten. I hear already they have summoned cuathemoc blanco for the final game next month (he missed both their last 2 games)Sunday, August 28th, 2011. We will never forget !!

Based on what I saw of Honduras in the game last night, they are a decent team with very obvious flaws, any decent coach can devise a strategy to beat them at their weaknesses and nullify their strengths.
Reading the Honduran press before yesterdays game, i could tell that they were in a state of panic, making noise about refree, claiming that one of our goal posts were higher than the other, and complaining about the lack of security at the stadium. Now afetr the loss to Jamaica, they switched the venue of teh Mexico game, which was origianlly scheduled for San Pedro sula, to Tegucigalpa, and have sent for old man Carlos Pavon. They also will be missing Maynor Figaroa and Wilson Palacios for the Mexico game. They are panicing!
Mexico will be Mexico...and Sven knows that failing to win on the road would almost certainly not go down well with the media, fans and his employers, will be looking for a win to regain their confidence.
Sure mexico can win in Honduras but based on their current form its debatable because they could also lose and still qualify for the hex. In football nothing is guaranteed. There are many possible scenarios that can happen. Its not as easy as you think. What if the game ends in a 0-0 draw? As it stands right now, we will need to score at least 6 goals against Canada if that happens. Can we score 6+ goals against Canada? I highly doubt it because we average one goal per game so Id say maximum we score would be 2 goals or maybe 3 but not 6 or 7. The best scenario is jamaica winning 2-0 over Canada and Mexico winning 2-1 in San Pedro Sula. If that happens then the boyz can book their tickets for the hex in '09.

Pressure makes things so much harder, while Jamaica went into the last 3 games with nothing to lose,Honduras must have been saying to themselves "we are there",so to find Jamaica breathing down their neck must be really difficult for them to deal with, while Mexico can go there and play with freedom knowing that in reality they have already qualified.Originally posted by Warlord View PostSure mexico can win in Honduras but based on their current form its debatable because they could also lose and still qualify for the hex.
