Preaching to the choir, tell that to Karl of Shady Pines

A bredrin said to me Sunday after watching the Baby Gummers play, that they were a pretty bwoy team. They reminded him of the Campion mannining cup team some years ago that had kimani (Robinson) on it. These guys played attractive ball but were afraid to get into it with a team from the inner city like Charlie Smith because they knew that these guys were "bad bwoys". That's the same thing with Arsenal. They will do good against the weaker teams because their skills will eventually win, however, when they meet any of the top four teams that will bring the physical game in addition to the same skill levels as them, then they wither away. ....flatter to deceive.
Hey .. look at the bright side .... at least you're not a Liverpool fan! - Lazie 2/24/10 Paul Marin -19 is one thing, 20 is a whole other matter. It gets even worse if they win the UCL. *groan*. 05/18/2011.MU fans naah cough, but all a unuh a vomit?-Lazie 1/11/2015

funny enough i thought that their midfield stood up to chelsea's where they faltered is that the strikers don't have the dog heart that drogba and anelka have......they will make something out of nothing!

Drogba didn't kill your team Gamma, Ashley Cole did. Where was the tackling from the midfield when John Terry was allowed to move forward with the ball (as if him a some big ballah) and allowed to make a pass that opened up your defense.

As fi the second cross from Cashley.

drogba was a constant menace....the arsenal midfield had several surging runs too...finishing or the should i say the confidence to take shots did us in.

Chelsea did not play as well as arsenal from a fooballing sense.. They scored goals however which win games. The first goal against the run and well taken. The second an own goal and the third from a free kick. Where we faltered was in our final third as the delivery was on but no one to lead from the front. As gamma said we lacked the class of an Anelka or droba....

                    Arsenal midfield was too flimsy.

                      You sir, are on point!
...the strength on the ball of the Chelsea team did us in on the defensive end.
It certainly was exemplified by Traore's shoulder charge of Drogba that sent Traore...
                      Yup! ...Traore flying!

...and on the attacking end, where at least 5 times we opened Chelsea defensive line like hot knife through butter, a shot was not taken. Eduardo got through at least 3 times...but was always reacting too slow and was thus robbed of the ball.

...as to Vela? ...soft like porriage! ...when the YOUNG GUNNERS broke on the counter in the 2nd half and he was right on to shoot...he wheeled around and back and gave Chelsea all the time in the world to get bodies behind the ball...then he was blown on by a Chelsea player and fell over ...bwoy???

He came on and played 'dodge ball'. Looked to me like he was deliberating taking baby steps to arrive late.

Yuh kno...I am not so sure about Ashavin? He does not seem to fit in the flow of the passing game...some TEAM linked play is missing. He loses the ball too damn often!

                      ...and...

Arsenal in comparison were like the 40-year-old Virgin - it takes 26 moves to get to first base. " Alex Dunn

Problem is the YOUNG GUNNERS are not getting to first base against the other big 4 teams!
