The Reggae
Boyz are packed and ready to leave on Air Jamaica’s first flight to
Miami (6:30am) on Friday morning with one thing on their minds –
taking home the CONCACAF Gold Cup! After three weeks of preparation,
Technical Director Carl Brown is confident that his charges will be
able to deliver the goods.
Jamaica played
two warm-up games this week, losing 1-2 to Cuba on Sunday and then
rebounding to give a fantastic display against Paraguay, winning
2-0.
In Gold Cup
action, Jamaica play Colombia on Sunday at 3:00pm at the Orange Bowl
(2:00pm Jamaica time) and then tackle Guatemala on Tuesday at the
same venue. (see Gold Cup story below)
Thousands of
gold clad Jamaicans are expected to converge on the stadium
especially for Sunday’s game as interest continues to rise with the
approach of the tournament. Below are the game reports and starting
line-ups. Note the difference in line-ups for both games.
