That has nothing to do with jobs growth. They perfectly can take windfall tax cuts without hiring. Hiring is a result of actual demand satisfaction.

Look at the severing of the Vix from Global policy uncertainty!

Based on performance so far, Trump is NOT a good bet to bank on in terms of political execution. Even if he has good ideas, his execution is shambolic.

Perhaps...perhaps not. Neither changes the fact that Trumps election did NOT cause any collapse of the market and economy as was predicted by some.

If it is indeed a bubble, doesn't that suggest optimism, perhaps even irrational exuberance, in what his policies will bring? That's all am saying, not that Trump is going to save the world, but that Trump has been greeted with far more smiles than frowns by the business community.

Unoo still gone off on a different argument.

I will restate mine....many expected a Trump win to send the US and probably world economy in a state of panic. It did NOT happen. Instead the economy and the investment community has reacted positively. That is just the facts people, hate it or love it.

If the man threaten to start a nuclear war tomorrow and the markets crash in response, that is not an "I told you so" moment. That is a reaction to new information.

How long did it take for the feds to declare a recession when the housing market was bankrupt, some say 2 years, some say 3.With Trump expect never. If I had to guess , I would say by next summer sh*t will hit the fan.

At least 2 negative quarters of slow growth, people not spending money ,increase in bankruptcies, and of course a declaration its Obama faults...lol,keep an eye on agri prices and the housing market/tourist market.

Advances in robotic computing power, the ability to recognise voices and images, and machine learning could help the country overcome the handicap of a fast-ageing populace and a declining workforce.

With the exception of Monaco, Japan is also the world’s oldest society, with a median age of about 45. Much of that is due to Japan having the world’s longest life expectancy. On average, men live to 80 and women live to 86.
Aside from worries over Japan’s shrinking workforce, this means care for the elderly is a growing priority.

Yet Japan plans to continue spending less on healthcare than the United States. Currently, the OECD says Japanese healthcare spending is around 10.3% of GDP, versus 16.9% here.

So how does Japan plan to address this issue?

By unleashing a new wave of technology that the country has become renowned for…
